A group of seemingly primative humans decide to escape from the controlling entities on their planet and embark on an adventure across a continent to search for a sanctuary from the so-called parasites. However, they are faced with a moral dilemma, as they commit murder by denying the creatures hosts.

But as they struggle for freedom they discover the secret of why their world was created, and the purpose behind their society, realizing it's their responsibility to try to make a change in the world.
